“Bullets and Massacre in Pahalgam: When the Beauty of Kashmir was Drowned in Blood”

pahalgam attack

Kashmir – which the world calls “Heaven” – is once again drenched in blood. On Tuesday, April 22, 2025, a riot-like attack on tourists visiting Pahalgam in Jammu & Kashmir not only took the lives of 26 people, but also broke the heart of the entire country. This attack has become another horrific memory amidst the insurgency and anti-India sentiments that have been going on for decades. 💔 When a gangster ruins a celebration

The story begins in a serene meadow in Baisaran Valley – a place that can only be reached by horse or pedestal. The place where people go for refreshment, to spend some quiet moments with their families, became the ground of death.

According to eyewitnesses, some unidentified gunmen started firing on the tourists from close range. Asavari Jagdale, a survivor, said that the attackers entered his tent and shot him just because his family was a supporter of PM Modi. Do people get death for any political views in today’s India?

🚨 TRF Claim – New Way of Hatred

A little-known terrorist outfit – The Resistance Front (TRF) – took responsibility for this attack on social media. They blamed “outsiders”, whom they consider to be the cause of “demographic change”. This is an old strategy – to create fear and hatred among people through violence.

The authorities have not verified TRF’s claim, but they have started an investigation. Kashmir Police IGP VK Birdi said, “This incident did not happen at a normal place. This meadow is at such a location from where it is difficult to reach for any emergency response.” 😢 When families are torn apart

A woman survivor told PTI: “My husband was shot in the head. Seven other people were also injured.” These are the lines that make any person’s heart melt. Did these tourists come to see the beauty of Kashmir, or did they get an invitation to death?

Similarly, other survivors told that the attackers killed the male members of their families one by one. They tried to survive amidst fear and desolation – but their wounds will never be healed.

🕯️ Protest, Grief and Anger

On Tuesday night, local people came out on the streets – with candles in their hands and slogans filled with pain. Placards such as “Stop terrorism,” “No more bloodshed,” made it clear that even the people of Kashmir are tired of this barbarity.

PM Narendra Modi condemned it on X (Twitter) and said, “Those who are responsible for this incident will not be spared.” Union Home Minister Amit Shah held a security meeting and announced the closure of all private schools.

🌍 Global Reactions – The world said, ‘Enough is Enough’

The global response to this attack was also quite strong. U.S. Vice President JD Vance, who was on an India visit at the same time, said, “We are devastated. Our efforts are with these victims.”

US President Donald Trump personally called PM Modi to express his sympathy. Countries like France, Israel, UAE, Russia, and Italy also stood by his strong condemnation.

PK India vs Pakistan – Political Snake Seed

Whenever such an incident takes place in Kashmir, tensions between India and Pakistan increase. BJP spokesperson Altaf Thakur blamed Pakistan – saying that this is their “frustration” seeing peace and tourism growth in Kashmir.

Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif said, “We are not involved in this attack. We do not support terrorism anywhere.”

So what is the truth? Perhaps no one knows better than a common Kashmiri.

🧭 Kashmir Ki Kahani – From the Pen of Blood

The history of Kashmir is not just like a postcard. This is a battlefield – where India and Pakistan have been at war for more than 70 years. After the removal of Article 370 in 2019, the Indian government had established a strong military presence in the region.

But such incidents tell that not everything is under control. The network of domestic militant groups like Hizbul Mujahideen, Jaish-e-Mohammed and TRF is still alive.

🙏 Voice of Kashmiris

This attack was not just on tourists. It was also on the peace-loving people of Kashmir. Those who want to visit their region only for apple orchards, snow-capped mountains and Sufi music – their dreams are always shattered in the sound of bullets.

🏞️ Future of Tourism?

The peak tourist season in Kashmir is from March to August. Every year thousands of people visit spots like Srinagar, Gulmarg, Pahalgam. But now people are filled with fear.

Will tourism survive? Maybe it will – but without safety assurance it is not possible. The government will have to upgrade on-ground surveillance, intelligence coordination, and last-mile connectivity.

Result:

On one hand we have “Heaven on Earth“, and on the other hand the doors of hell have opened on the same land. This article is not just the story of an attack – it is a wake-up call. Listen to the voice of Kashmir, do not let its world be destroyed. Will you go to Kashmir? Maybe yes. But now the question is – is Kashmir still safe?
